Hello there, fellow caffeine lover.
Today we’d like to share with you our top 5 favorite coffee shops in Oregon. We’ve used Brae’s coffee-tasting skills and Christine’s vibe-sampling skills to compile this list, taking into consideration quality of beans, decor and vibe, friendliness, and overall experience.
#1: Dapper & Wise (Portland)
It’s hard to choose what to love most about Dapper & Wise: the fact that they roast their own beans, their plant-filled lounge, or the colorful bags of coffee! The Iced Americano was our favorite from Oregon, and the Honey Lavender Latte was tasty without being too artificially sweet. Extra brownie points for the barista being super friendly- we even got a free drink when we purchased a bag of beans to take home!
Address: 3158 SE Division St. Portland, OR 97202
Hours: 7AM-6PM
#2: Public Domain (Portland)
“Coffee should be an experience, not just a routine.” This quote is written on a chalkboard that stands just outside the entrance of this coffee shop, as well as behind the cash register, and that attitude is palpable throughout your experience at Public Domain. The quality, well-cared-for equipment and artsy, informative chalkboards complete the vibe. Centrally located in the downtown area on the West side of the Willamette River, Public Domain is a must-visit during any visit to Portland. This was Christine’s #1 favorite latte and Brae’s #2 favorite Americano on the trip!
Address: 603 SW Broadway, Portland, OR 97205
Hours: 6AM-5PM
#3: Insomnia Coffee Co. (Cannon Beach)
This quaint coffee shop is the perfect place to settle in and read a good book while you’re visiting the Oregon Coast. Art by local artists adorn the walls, and locals that pop in are greeted by name. We also loved their music, which was a wide assortment of artists like Odesza, Bon Iver, and The xx. The neighborhood is cute, and it’s just a few steps from the beach, so be sure to walk to the end of the street and take a peek at the view of the ocean!
Address: 139 W. 2nd St. Cannon Beach, OR 97110
Hours: Mon-Fri: 8AM-3PM / Sat-Sun: 8AM-4PM
#4: Good Coffee (Portland)
Located in the first floor lobby of the trendy and newly remodeled Woodlark Hotel in downtown Portland, this coffee shop gives off all the right vibes with its modern, bright, airy, plant-filled lounge area. Since we stayed at the Woodlark, we came here several times and found something new to love during each visit! If you have time to stay, enjoy a hot drink from one of their adorable handmade ceramic mugs. This is a great spot to do some work, read, or meet up with a friend!
Address: 813 SW Alder St. Portland, OR 97205
Hours: Mon-Fri: 6AM-6PM / Sat-Sun: 7AM-6PM
#5: Stoked Roasters & Coffeehouse (Hood River)
Situated along the beautiful Hood River Waterfront Park, Stoked is an ideal spot to start your day. Their menu is massive and offers something for everyone. We were also really excited too see that the actual coffee bean roasters were on display- who doesn’t love a look behind the scenes?!
Address: 603 Portway Ave #103, Hood River, OR 97031
Hours: Mon-Thurs: 7:30AM-5PM / Fri-Sun 7:30AM-6PM
