How to get there:

↠ Take the 60 East until you hit Globe. Then take the 70 East towards Safford. From Safford, take the 191 South and take a right at the 366. This road will take you to the top of Mt. Graham.

Estimate from Gilbert to Safford: 2 hours 30 min

Estimate from Glendale to Safford: 3 hours

Time:

↠ From Safford, it’s about an hour and a half if decide to drive straight to the top. However, we’d recommend allowing at least 3 hours so you have time to stop and take photos, hike around a bit, and explore some off-roading areas towards the base of Mount Graham.

Know before you go:

↠ Bring drinking water, snacks, sunscreen, and sneakers for exploring!

↠ Pull over to take photos, be aware of other vehicles, and allow faster ones to pass.

↠ The road to the top is paved, but depending on where you decide to explore, part of the road could be dirt. Only take a four-wheel drive vehicle with reliable tires here.
